the site that I am setting up would like to allow the registrants to their events to have the option to reserve a seat by paying 50%. What would be the easiest way to do this? They are selling tickets to their trainings and each training can have up to four different ticket options (they sell single day, two day, and five day passes plus a course credit option fee). So, it is already a little much for the registrants to navigate and so I wanted to ask if it is possible to add this 50% patent option in a simple way without making the purchase overly complicated.

Update: the site owner said we can drop the request for partial payments. If it is a simple thing that you can point me to then I would still appreciate knowing but if it takes any effort or is a messy add on then it is ok. thanks,

Hi there,
Currently Event Espresso does nor support partial payments made by the user and there is no add-on to provide that functionality.
There are a couple of workarounds which involve creating a additional tickets (One full price, another partial) and having the user register onto the deposit ticket then at a later date the full price ticket, however it is not a ‘clean’ solution, espescially if you also have multiple ticket options (as you would need a ‘partial’ and ‘full’ ticket for each pricing option).
I’m assuming those would not work for you use case?
