I would like to know if its possible to have a user who registers for an event br able to access Secure Page/Post content during the event and have it all be automatic?
Right now, the current process is all manual. So, when the user registers for an event, they are using either a social login (wordpress social login plugin) or simply registering to the wordpress site in order to gain access to register. Once registered, the event or website admin is now responsible to set that user to a specific role which gives them access to read content throughout the site. When the event is over, then the event or wordpress admin changes the roles on those users to another role which is basically limited access with some basic content since they’ve gone through the event. The event is actually a class in-person with online materials for the class. Once the class is started, the online materials are visible, and vice versa. So, in a sense, it’s like setting up a trial of what they registered for and I can’t figure out how to achieve this with the event espresso plugins. Any help would be very appreciated!!!

Hi Aaron,
Event Espresso doesn’t have this feature set. This is a great idea for a stand alone plugin -or- an integration with another membership content restriction plugin though.

This is actually the developer of Aaron’s site Billy (in place of Aaron the owner of the plugin) I appreciate your response. If you do end up working on something like this, please let me know. In the meantime, I will try and work something out with your plugin, the Paid Memberships Pro and wordpress social login plugins. I’ve never had the opportunity to do something like this before, so this should be an interesting mix to tie these 3 plugins in together. I have no idea how long or how much effort it will take just yet lol.

You might want to check out a piece of code from Seth: https://gist.github.com/sethshoultes/5574217 that adds a wordpress user when someone signs up for an event. You should be able to modify it to add a wordpress user at a specific role so they will have access to the content.
