Is it possible to allow a person that isn’t attending your event to book on behalf of others? I basically need to be able to allow a person to fill in their payment details without they themselves being registered as an attendee for the event. Most of my customers pay later via invoice, so the primary registrant details are being shown on the invoice. Is it possible to allow someone to enter their details and not be added as an attendee? |
Hi there, We don’t currently officially support a separate ‘purchaser’ that allows for this, however, what you can do is add a ‘Billing information’ question group to the primary registrant questions and then use values entered their to display on the invoice. It means that if someone IS an attendee and the purchasers, they would be required to enter their details twice, but if separate you can use the values separately. I can provide details on how to set that up if it sounds like it will work for you? |

Hi Tony, Yeah, that would be great, thanks. I kind of figured that would be the case so I have already set it up this way. The only Issue I’m having is how to display the billing information on the invoice. If you could let me know I’d really appreciate it. |
Do you have the billing info in a group only assigned to the primary registrant? If so you can edit the Invoice in: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates -> Invoice -> Edit Purchaser. Then you’ll see something like this – https://monosnap.com/file/Ogn4E2SY767Y018meRQFfKIsFBA47K Say you want to change the ‘Bill To’ section to use the answers from the billing questions, you can use the That takes the ‘Question Text’ of the question you want the answer to, so say you had a question ‘Billing Name’, the shortcode would be:
(Note the text you use must be an exact match of the question text for that question) You can use that for any question you asked the primary registrant. Does that help? |

Thanks so much for your help, works perfectly! |
You’re most welcome, I’m glad that worked for you. |
