WordPress 3.5.1.

EE Version 3.1.31.3.P

EE Members Add-on: 1.9.7

New Install

I’m trying to allow my users to edit their attendee information at any time up until they make their payment or pass the registration end date. (At which point they are still allowed to pay if they haven’t.)

When registering, after putting attendee information in and hitting submit, it takes them to a verification page that allows them to edit/delete etc. is there a way to get back to this page if they navigate away from it?

Hi Trey,

There is an shortcode that can be placed in the registration confirmation email that will make a link in the email that will let them go back and edit their registration details.

But there’s no shortcode to put on a page that does the same thing?

Hi Trey,

While there is a shortcode that can be put on a page to let logged in users edit their profile, there isn’t a shortcode that can be put on a page that would take someone directly to a specific registration record to be edited.

That’s disappointing. Is there a way to request a feature?

Hi Trey,

I will add your request to the list. One thing to keep in mind about a feature like this one is security. In order for attendee editing to be secure, steps would need to be taken to make sure someone else couldn’t get access to another attendee’s registration forms and (intentionally or unintentionally) change or delete it.

The Members Add-On allows me to delete whole registrations… which would take into consideration the security issues already mentioned. Seems like it would be a logical step to allow it to edit attendees as well.

Anyway, thanks for adding my feature request. Sadly it probably won’t be live in time for my needs.

Hi Trey,

You might consider hiring a developer to build an extension to meet you specific needs in the meantime.
