Hi, I’ve read through the forum without much luck. Whenever a registrant enters his/her registration information and clicks register the next page just shows up blank when it should be the thank you/payment option page. I had previously set this up on a testing server and no problems, but for some reason it’s not working. The site is http://www.popai.com/event-registration Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg |
Hi Gregory, Three things to look at:
By looking at your site with Google Chrome’s web developer tools, It looks like there is an issue with the Downloads Manager plugin that you have installed. Maybe try deactivating that one first? Just a suggestion. Hope this helps. |

Hi Jonathan, I triple checked points 1 and 2 — all was good. And I’ve had EE running properly before with all of these plugins, but deactivated them per your advice and still no luck. Any other ideas? I don’t want to transition away from EE to another events plugin b/c let’s face it your product is great. Thanks, Greg |
Hi Greg, One thing that could make a big difference is the permalink settings. If the permalinks on the test server were okay, but not configured correctly on this site, it will break the dynamically generated URL for the registration page. You can try re-setting the permalink structure on the WordPress>Settings>Permalinks settings screen. If you have the structure set to postname, the server needs to have the Apache mod_rewrite module or similar installed. There is more information about the Permalinks settings in the WordPress codex: |

HI Josh, I tried resetting the permalinks and still no dice. And mod_rewrite is activated. Really at a loss here any other possible troubleshooting solutions? Greg |
What did you reset the permalinks setting to? |
|
|
I tried resetting them to the default, which didn’t produce any results. So I changed them back to day and name http://www.popai.com/2012/10/09/sample-post/ |
Have you tried testing this with the default WordPress theme? Themes can have what are essentially “mini-plugins” in their functions.php file that can have code that may conflict with Event Espresso’s shortcodes. There is a plugin in the WordPress.org repository that will let you ‘switch’ to another theme for testing without affecting the public facing view of the site: I’d recommend downloading and installing theme test drive plugin and testing the registration page out using the twentyeleven theme. |

Hi Josh, Tried out Theme Test Drive with the TwentyEleven Theme and same exact problem that I get with my theme, which was built off the basics of TwentyEleven. How much is premium support to get this issue fixed? Greg |
We charge $65 per support token, which are good for 30 minutes of support: |

Thanks, Josh. So how many support tokens should I plan to purchase to get this issue fixed? Greg |
Greg, Thanks for your purchase of the support token. I have narrowed the problem down to the Facebook Connect plugin. Upon deactivating that plugin, the registration system started working just fine. |
