Hi, during testing the checkout the Stripe gateway Pay Now button is disabled after a card is declined. After adding a new card that’s valid the Pay Now button is still disabled and doesn’t allow the user to click the Pay Now button.

Hi there,

Which version number of the Stripe payment method add-on are you testing?

Are you testing the Stripe checkout (legacy) or Elements integration?

I’ve just run a test on an event with the site linked to your license but it doesn’t look like the Stripe PM is enabled any more, can you temporarily enable it so I can take a look?

@Tony We are using version 1.1.7p We tested this on a staging site first before applying the change on live. https://skillstat-v2.pixelbottech.com

We are using the elements integration.

Hi,

They’ll need to fix this issue with the Pay not button being disabled, and include the fix in the next version of the EE4 Stripe add-on.

Any idea on an estimate until next version?

Hi,

We’re waiting on feedback from the developer about a related issue. After the related issue is fixed & tested we can release the next version.

@josh do you know when the next version will be released? We are in a tough spot as our current payment processor is closing and we are wanting to replace it with Stripe.

The next version will be released after:
1) The developer assigned to the ticket related to this issue finishes with the ticket
2) The ticket is tested and all tests pass

I can’t give you a date and time of a projected release date, because it could take hours or days for the above two items to be completed.

In the meantime, you could switch to the Stripe Integration Type: “Checkout” setting (in your site’s Event Espresso > Payment methods setting page). The Checkout API handles card declines different so it isn’t affected by the current issue with the Stripe gateway.
