Running Event Espresso and Affiliate WP with the EE Affiliate WP integration. (we purchased Affiliate WP because your integration product made it look like you were recommending them and made it look like this would work.)

Just ran an initial transaction and there are problems. The commission rate is set at 80% but on some Affiliate WP screens it shows a 20% commissions and on others it shows 80%. I do have a license for Affiliate WP, reached out to them for support, but they stated that since EE created this integration and its not an official Affiliate WP integration then they will not provide support, so I’m coming to you for help. (not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from this combination of plugins)

As a result, we’re now seeing an error in the Unpaid Earnings.

Transaction Amount (the sale) $1
Affiliate commission set at 80%

email notification indicated commission of 20%
Some screens show Unpaid Earnings of 0.20 and other screens show earnings of 0.80

I happened to be running camtasia during the transaction (there has been only 1 transaction) the last 2 minutes of the video shows some of these discrepancies https://youtu.be/LQAvxJWQa_w?t=269

The default affiliate rate for the plugin is set at 20% and the Individual Affiliate user’s rate was set at 80%.

Basic Issue – – – > It appears the system confused these two items and sometimes calculates it on the global default and sometimes on the individual users affiliate rate???

Screenshots of error/discrepancy

Affiliate amount $0.80
unpaid earnings of $0.20 and rate 80% on a $1 transaction
another example
user affiliate rate commission

At a high level, it looks like this integration is not updating everything in the database that it is supposed to update.(guess)

Hi,

I looked into this and tracked it down to an oversight in the integration where it didn’t pass the Affiliate ID. Passing in the Affiliate ID to the appropriate function fixes the issue for me. If you’d like to test the fix you can download a patched version here.

After the fix is reviewed and tested it will make its way into the next release of the Affiliate WP Integration add-on.
