Hi,

I have installed (new) Event Espresso lite version 3.1.33.L onto a new WordPress install (version WP 3.5.2) with the default theme “Twenty Twelve” and no other plugins installed. When I activate the EE plugin I get this warning message:

The problem i’m having is that most of the admin menu pages are not being populated. Only the event overview page has functionality. The others say ‘From the blog’ and there’s nothing else there. I’ve tried clicking on the grey bar to see if anything appears to no avail. Please see the screenshots for an illustration of the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated. The link to my site is: http://nzpem2013.com/wp/

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Thomas,

This is generally due to low memory allocation on the server. You can try to updated it via the wp-config.php file, but if it does not work you may need to refer to your host to discuss your memory limitations.

Here is a guide to upping the memory via wp-config.php http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Thank you, that was exactly it.

It turns out my server’s php global memory limit was only 32MB. I changed that, with help of this guide and also the wordpress allocation.

Thanks,
