I have a user that was adding transactions and processing returns and now all of a sudden she cannot add payments anymore. She has a wordpress admin account, I can add and remove from my admin account? Any idea if I tripped a setting or a glitch?

Hello,

An admin user can access all options within Event Espresso so your team member’s login should not have an issue with applying a payment or processing a refund.

Is this happening in a specific web browser? For example, what happens if she tries a different web browser to login and apply a payment?

I have tested with the users account in both IE and Chrome with the same results. All other admin accounts I have tested are not having the issue. Seems to be isolated to here account, I’ve attempted to change her permissions and change them back to admin with no luck.

Hi there,

What is it that happens when the users tries to add payments?

Is it just that the section/button does not appear?

Is an error message shown when that user is logged in and tries to access EE?

Which section specifically does it fail on?

Is this within a single transaction trying to add payments, like this? – http://take.ms/JTcNm

The user does not see the “Add Payment” button. There is no error messages either on screen or in the logs as far as I can see because the process can’t be started. It appears to affect any transaction she attempts to add a payment to, there is no exception the buttons just simply do not appear on the screen.

The user does not see the “Add Payment” button.

The ‘Apply Payment’ button highlighted in my screenshot? – http://take.ms/JTcNm

(I’m being very specific to make sure I’m looking at the correct code)

Hello,

Do you have any plugins on your site that can remove or add capabilities to a user account?

If not, then what happens if you create a new user with a role of administrator?

Is that new user able to access the add payments button?

If I add a new admin user the privileges seem to populate correctly and all buttons show up as they should.

Hi, that is strange as an admin user can access everything in Event Espresso along with the WP dashboard.

Are you using any plugins that have the ability to change the capabilities for any users? Is this happening for any other user accounts for your team members that have a role of administrator?
