Hello, is there an easy way to receive confirmation emails when somebody has registered for an event, before they pay? Most of our attendees will be using invoices, and we want to be sure we know when they register. It is checked that the registrants receive emails before they pay, and that functionality is working fine, but we (at the admin email) have not received any. We have confirmed that the Event Espresso and WP emails are the same. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
Hi Olivia, The messages system in Event Espresso 4 has this feature: http://cl.ly/image/3U023N3I3V3k — |

Hi Lorenzo, We are using EE3. Can you please show us how to complete this using EE3? Thanks! |

When that setting is set to Yes the admin email should also be sent when the attendee receives a confirmation email. Are you using Multi Event Registration (MER for short) or standard registrations? |

September 29, 2014 at 12:05 pm We are using Multi Event Registration. We have not modified any of the email functionality. Thanks. |
Hi Olivia, I’ve just ran a registration on one of your events to confirm the attendee confirmation email is sent correctly (which it does), did you receive a confirmation email? Can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Confirm there is no whitespace before/after both your Organisation name and Primary contact email please. |

We did not receive a confirmation email, and I have confirmed that there is no white space before or after our organization name or primary email. |

September 30, 2014 at 11:03 am It’s typically difficult to pin down problems with email because there are so many layers to it. EE hands the email sending off to WP. WP by default then hands it off to php, which then hands it off to whatever mail handler is set up on the server (sendmail, for example), which then sends it to the server specified in the dns record, and down the chain it goes. The only part that EE has any control over is that first link in the chain, which is why we recommend some kind of email logging, using Mandrill, etc. |
September 30, 2014 at 11:13 am Hi, I misunderstood your question and thought you were trying to receive a pending payment email and a registration confirmed (payment received) email. Here is some information on transaction email delivery services: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ As Sidney shared, Mandrill has a free tier and will help ensure the emails are delivered to the email inbox instead of a spam/junk folder or being lost. — |
