I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that particular plugin. Does it have a settings page where you can test sending a message? If so, does the test message get received?

Yes, it does and there seems to be a problem with it. It’s pointing to bluehost instead of the gmail account. I’m unclear how to correct this. Do I really need this plug in -POST SMTP. I thought it would help to get these confirmations out but with my level of knowleadge it is causing me more issues.

You might not need that plugin. What you can do is deactivate the SMTP plugin, then install this plugin to test the email functionality of your website:

I installed check-email and it sent the email and email was received. I do see one possible issue. Email was received from Word Press (Kathxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com but we are using a different address (oscxxxxxx@gmail.com)in EE3 as the “Primary contact email”. Does this make a difference?

That doesn’t make a difference, but what can make a difference there is the Use fancy email headers? setting on the Event Espresso > General Settings page, under Email Settings. You can try changing that setting to No then test doing a registration.

The Fancy Headers is set to “no”. This was never set to “yes”.
