Hi, I’m setting up Event Espresso Decaff for a choral group. The website is running the 2012 theme on WordPress 4.0.
Everything works brilliantly except that the Admin emails aren’t arriving. The registrant emails are arriving fine, so it doesn’t look like the problem is with the email system in general. I’ve tried turning off plugins (which was a right pain as some of the settings were lost) but it still doesn’t seem to work. Can you offer any advice? I’m afraid I can’t give a URL as the group have asked for the page to be restricted to their committee only while we’re in this testing stage. Many thanks.
EE uses the default wp_mail() system, which is generally at the mercy of the host server.
We recommend using the WP Mail SMTP plugin or a service such as Mandrill in you are having any major issues, as these usually resolve them by helping to take the mail sending away from the server.
