Address displaying incorrectly on receipts

Our address is set up correctly in the Company tab on EE with the county of Hampshire but for some reason the receipts that are produced have Suffolk as the county instead of Hampshire

I saw a previous help topic that said about activating invoices and clearing the payee fields but I have just done this and the fields were already clear. Is there anything else you can think of that might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Open up an invoice in your browser (the HTML version, don’t download it as a PDF).

On Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your organization

Change your county to something else and save.

Now refresh the Invoice in another tab, does it change the county shown?

(Right now it doesn’t matter if its correct, we’ll get to that, I just want to know if it changes to something else when you change organization field)

Now change it back to Hampshire and save again, refresh the Invoice.

Does it go back to Suffolk (if it changed in the first place) or something else?

Sorry Tony, user error. Was trying to update in the wrong place. Fixed now and marked resolved.

No problem, glad you found it 🙂

May I ask where you checked previously? Just so I can make a note to make sure users aren’t checking that location when/if this comes up again.

Something I did notice with your invoice template is that it was set up using EE4 decaf, which in itself isn’t a problem but it means the icons on that template are set up to use the wrong directory and don’t work now your using the regular version.

Quick and easy to fix if you haven’t customized the invoice/receipt template at all.

You can go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> default message templates -> Invoice.

Click on the reset templates button and EE will regenerate the template using the current directories for icons.

You can do the same with the receipt template.

If you’ve edited the template you need to switch to text mode and replace all instances of ‘event-espresso-decaf’ with ‘event-espresso-core-reg’.

Yes, I had accidentally found my way into the WordPress settings so nothing to do with EE at all.

Thanks for that extra advice. We rarely use the invoice/receipt functions unless a customer asks for one or didn’t get a confirmation for some reason but I have reset the templates to be safe. Thanks for your help.
