I currently have a drop-down list f tickets available for purchase, however I would like to be able to sell “additional event tickets” for other items (optional purchases). Is there a way to do this with V3 of EE? If so, how?

You have several options. I’m guessing that you are not using the MER add-on, so you could use the price modifier add-on and create custom questions (“do you want this option added to your purchase?”) that would add the option’s price to the purchase price. If you are using the MER, the price modifier add-on would not work with the MER, but you could create “events” that correspond to the purchase options that the user could add to their shopping cart.
