I am using the multiple attendee registration add-on and am having difficulty in sending ticket links and emails to additional attendees registered under the primary person’s email address. If one person has used a single email address to register multiple individuals, only the first (primary) registrant receives a ticket email. And when I email all event attendees, again only the primary registrant receives an email with a ticket link. The ticket link short code only displays the primary attendee’s download link. What is the fix to enable all attendees registered under a single email address to receive a ticket email and be able to view their ticket link from the shortcode?

Hi, It sounds like you are having server issues with the email, as I checked your set up and you are collecting an email for each registrant so each should be emailed (regardless whether the emails are the same as the primary registrant, he should just receive more than one email). I would suggest first of all trying a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP to see if that assists with resolving the issue. I would also check your/the clients spam folders. If that doesn’t assist, you may wish to look into a third party mail service such as Mandrill or Postmarkapp. These will basically take over the process of sending emails away from your host server. Mandrill does have a free service for up to 12,000 emails per month. |

Thanks for the reply. The emails are being sent to unique email addresses, but not to duplicate email addresses only. If abc@123.com was used to register 5 people, only the first individual using that email address receives an email. The remaining four individuals with that email are never sent. We are collecting thousands of registrations this way and they all must receive an email with their barcode. How do I ensure this happens? It looks as if EE is only emailing the primary attendee. |

Hi, As mentioned above, if the names and emails of every attendee are being collected, then each one will be emailed, regardless if the same email is used more than once or not. It sounds like the server is not handling emails very well, this happens a lot, generally on shared hosting but can happen on other server types too. Which is why I recommended the plugin and services. These can help alleviate the stress on the server by regulating or even taking full control of the email sending. |
