Hi,

Event Espresso is designed to be a system for business to promote there own events.

As such while there is some ability to allow users other than the admin to create events, you may not find the flexibility you desire, as I’m assuming you are planning something like an Eventbrite clone.

For instance we have the Roles and Permissions Pro add on (Roles and Permissions Basic is required), which allows you to give users an Event Manager role. This role allows them to create events and track attendees etc from the dashboard. And they are limited to only the events they create.

However, there is no system in place for you to take commissions off sales. At best you could charge the users for having an account with you.

Dean, I hope it’s ok to jump on here. Let me know if not.

It’s my understanding that the difference between the Roles and Permissions Pro add on Basic vs Pro is that the Pro allows filtering of permissions based on geographic location. Is that correct? As mentioned in https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-pro/

Can Roles and Permissions Basic (and maybe some meta fields) allow events to be paid to a specific Paypal account? I ask because I have osrt of the same questions of capability mentioned here, https://eventespresso.com/topic/pre-sales-question-8/
