Adding group-on to the custom MER cart checkout

I know this may be a though one but wanted to see if you could help. We have customized our checkout to use the MER checkout process described in the post below, the reason we needed to do this is because we needed to be able to process different ticket prices and attendees in one order like you would with a normal shopping cart. This has proven to work fine for a while, but recently we wanted to add the group-on addition to the process. So we bought the add-on and we can’t seem to get it to work with our custom template set-up. Could anyone help with this? Or explain why it may not work?

It would be great if this type of checkout process was an option within the settings somehow. I really dislike modifying templates in this way each time a new version of the plugin comes out. Unless you guys have a better suggestion on handling the requirements. We would be totaling willing to purchase a support ticket if we knew this addition was possible..

Hi there,

The current version of the Groupon add-on does not work with Multi Event Registration. We’re working on an update that will allow the Multi Event Registration cart to accept Voucher/Groupon codes and are in the middle of fixing a few bugs and testing before the release.

I took a look at the thread you posted a link to, and I’m not sure about which customization you’re referring to. What code is being modified in which files?

Any Ideas, we would be willing to purchase support tokens if someone could actually make it work on your team, we just didn’t want to buy anything else that doesn’t work for our situation unless we know it can be fixed.
Or should I call it a night and tell the client it can’t happen?

and does not require any template customization.

As I mentioned in the earlier reply, we are working on adding Voucher code support to the Multi Event Registration form. The first iteration of this will be released in Event Espresso 3.1.28.
