We are using recurring events and want to display the selected event date under the event name on confirmation_display.php. Could you let me know what code needs to be added to accomplish this? I added the relevant code here from line 17-22 with the code button but I don’t see it. Maybe you do?

Copy the code from line 17-22. Paste it underneath, change ‘Event Name’ to ‘Event Date’ & $event_name to $start_date. Go to payment_page.php Copy line 246. Should start ‘$start_date =’ Paste it above, around line 80 on it’s own line. That’s it. You have you moved these files to /uploads/espresso/ so you don’t lose your customizations after EE updates? |

Thanks Tony. Made the first change, but the date value is not populating on the confirmation page. Here’s what I have: Also, I wasn’t able to make your second change – the payment_page.php only has 44 lines of code. Were you referring to registration_page.php? If so, line 245 is: ‘start_date’ => ” . event_espresso_no_format_date($start_date, get_option(‘date_format’)) . ”, but, this syntax may not be correct for pasting the code on its own line.

Here are the files I changed. In the folders they need to be in. http://depositfiles.com/files/t5ujcy0n2 confirmation_display.php is in templates, you’ve done the code change there yes? payment_page.php – if you open confirmation_display.php and look at the comments at the top. You see:
So thats the file you copy line 246 and past at line 80. I can’t post php code otherwise I’d just show you the code. Have a look at the files. Payment_page.php has a comment:
Search for that around line 80, you’ll see the line added. Also – the code change made on confirmation_display.php is what places the date on a new line, well actually in a new row in the table . The payment page is just the variable that holds the date.

Ahhh – didn’t realize the payment_page.php was in the includes. I had a different version in my uploads/ee/templates directory |
|
Just to confirm, do I need to move a copy of the revised payment_page.php (from includes), into uploads/espresso/ ? It looks like a completely different file than the payment_page.php template file. |
|
It is a different file. AFAIK you can’t move a copy of include files to uploads/espresso/ you’ll need to update that file each time there’s an update. |
|
Thanks Tony. Really appreciate your help. Works perfectly now! |
