Add to Cart Quantity is Zero

We updated EE and experienced several problems but with your help, have been able to fix them. Right now my last issue seems to be that when a user adds an item to their cart by pressing “add to cart”, the site then takes them to see their cart, and the item is shown, but with a zero quantity. The user can choose a new qty from the drop down…but most users skip over this and then experience problems checking out. How can I make it default to 1?

Hi,

There isn’t a way to do this without a code change. You could modify the core code which isn’t recommended as changes will revert to default on update, vis this thread https://eventespresso.com/forums/2011/09/i-need-the-amount-of-the-item-to-default-to-1-instead-of-zero-in-the-cart/ (note the line number is now 958).

Changing it via javascript may be a better option https://eventespresso.com/topic/cart-ticket-dropdown-defaults-to-0/
