Hello,

I was looking to add an ‘Add to Calendar’ link in my email templates. I found some support forums referencing a shortcode [add_to_calendar], but it is not working on EE4. Is there an option for this?

Thank you!

Hi John,

There is not currently a shortcode for that option. However we do have a feature request for it and I’ve added some additional feedback there as I do think that this would be helpful.

Hi John,

I wanted to let you know that this is now available in the current version of Event Espresso 4.

Important: Please backup your WordPress (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/) before making any changes and updating Event Espresso 4.

You can see the changelog for Event Espresso 4 here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/

Here is how to find it after updating to the latest version of Event Espresso 4:

Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then look for the Registration Approved message type and click on Registrant. This will take you to the event editor and you’ll be viewing the Registration Approved message type.

Scroll to the date times area which appears further down the page. Then you can add this shortcode to the date times area:

[ICAL_LINK_* link_text=”Add to my Calendar”]

Then save changes by clicking on the save button.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Lorenzo
