Would like to add price paid to notification emails sent to the administrator.
Now Using EE3 would upgrade to EE4 if this solves it but have lots of data to migrate and I have a custom field – Company Name – added to all events, so it will not migrate automatically.

Hi Brad,
The admin email can’t be edited through the WordPress admin.
However, you can take a look at this file:
event-espresso/includes/functions/email.php
At about line 408, you’ll see this function espresso_prepare_admin_email.
Keep in mind that any edits will be lost on a software update as this is a core file.

Can it be edited permanently in EE4 and if so is there a way to upgrade by data if I have a custom field

Yes, EE4 has a messages system that allows you to customize various email notifications that are used.
What is the custom field used for with your events?
Have you tried updating on a testing or staging site?

The field is company name
I tried to updating the database and it failed

Hi,
Did you edit the database tables to set this up?
Unmodified database tables (in terms of the structure) should migrate to EE4 without any issues. However, if you have changed how EE3 stores data then that won’t work.
