Add on Ticket to Event

Have an event that will have an optional box lunch. Have 1 ticket for the event registration itself, but would like to “add” a ticket for the box lunch. When doing so, it’s asking ALL the personal info, and we only need the name. How do you NOT require personal info for a 2nd ticket on the event? is there a better way to offer this “optional” type add on to the purchase?

You set the ‘Additional registrants’ section not to require any question groups within the event, the bottom section here:

Make sure no question groups are selected for additional registrants and update the event. That way when more than 1 ticket is selected only 1 set of questions will be asked.

Another option for this is to create another ticket with admission and the add-on combined.

Admission = $10
Admission + lunch = $20

The user then selected the relevant ticket to register onto.

Ok, all that I understand. The add-on dinner ticket may not be purchased at the same time. The 2nd option you provided won’t work because that person does not need to register for the conference, they are just there for dinner.
Under “available tickets” for the event, I have the registration for the conference as 1 ticket, but I want to add a 2nd ticket and only require a name, not a phone and email, it is irrelevant.

You can’t set up Event Espresso to only require a name for tickets/registrations, at a minimum EE requires a First name and Email and you set those requirements per event rather than per ticket.

The above 2 options are currently the only available options within EE for this.
