Hi, I recently upgraded to the latest version from a much older version when I noticed my calendar completely vanished with the WordPress upgrade to 3.5. I followed the upgrade instructions and deactivated and deleted the old version first. Loading the latest version seems to have gone well and all existing event details and general settings have imported to the latest version. However I seem to have an issue with the ‘Add More Attendees’ option which used to work with my theme perfectly. Firstly there is no + icon to add the additional attendees. If I click the text itself (the words Add More Attendees) it seems to try and open an extra box for additional info before then bringing up a 404 page with the following URL: http://londonadventuregroup.org/event-registration/undefined Any ideas what’s happening here. As I said it used to work fine so I don’t think it’s an issue with my theme, the fault has only started following the Event Espresso upgrade. Thanks in advance. |
Hi Gary, I think you’re correct to assume that it’s not a theme issue, I’ve used that same exact theme for testing purposes from time to time, and StudioPress themes are some of the best coded themes in the business. What I would suggest checking is for plugin conflicts to rule this out and narrow down the cause of the issue.. When I view the page in a debugging tool, I’m seeing this error pop up after clicking the additional attendee toggle: {“error”: “Please use POST request”} The additional attendee toggle went through several revisions over the last year because the older one would easily break from a plugin or theme conflict. The JavaScript has been moved from being inline to its own script, so it’s more robust now. With that change though, a plugin that didn’t conflict with it before may be conflicting now. |

Hi Josh, Ok I deactivated all plugins except event espresso and found the one causing the conflict was WP Google Analytics. Now if you click the line of text additional boxes do appear for additional attendees but it’s not exactly intuitive. Where has the + symbol gone that used to exist on earlier versions? Thanks |

Hi Gary, The devs removed it. Im not sure as to why but I am sure they will have had good reason. You can always use a little bit of css to target it and add an image or otherwise style it to make it more noticeable. |

Hi, OK you can consider this ticket closed now. I edited the main.php file and added the word HERE in capitals so that visitors should have a better idea where to click when wanting to add attendees. Once they click this the first time the little green and red circles with + and – appear to add / remove further attendees which is very user friendly. These icons would be helpful for adding the first additional attendee but the quick solution I have added will do for now. Thanks |
