I have the lite version installed on a website and am having issues with the “Add More Attendees” link. It doesn’t do anything when clicking on it. The link works when enabling the Twenty-Ten theme but I can’t seem to find the culprit. It stops at the typical spot…. {return’

The Chrome inspector displays “Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL”.

I’ve used a paid version of the plugin on a river boat site and it works really well. This is on another one customer’s site and they may get a paid version too but I’ll need to rectify this issue. Can you help? Thanks.

Hi Pete,

If the Twenty-Ten theme works, then there’s obviously some JavaScript issues with the other theme you are using. Make sure the theme is following WordPress standards. Alot of themes that are bought off of sites, like ThemeForest, are not up to standard. Also, Event Espresso requires version 1.7 or higher of JQuery.

You may need to contact the developer of the theme to update it, or atleast take a look at it.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

I had the same issue with another theme. Adding [raw] … [/raw] around the Event Espresso shortcode fixed it for me:

[raw][ESPRESSO_EVENTS][/raw]
