Add Event Page Bug

When I go to add a new event, the entire page does not show. The title and description, and all boxes on the sidebar are there but the rest of the blocks/fields under the description don’t show. When I save the event, editing it is fine. It seems only on adding an event it does this.

Hello,

This looks like a conflict with another plugin on the site.

You can check to see if there is a plugin conflict by temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Event Espresso. If the problem goes away, then reactivate your plugins one by one until the issue returns. This will help you pinpoint the source of the conflict.

Please give me one logical explanation as to how an errant plugin can cause an admin page to not work when it’s a NEW event, but doesn’t cause it to break when it’s an existing event.

Take some responsibility in making your plugin work regardless of what other plugins are doing.

So out of curiosity I turned on logging. The ONLY thing in the log is a bunch about an EE plugin for mailchimp:

[27-Mar-2017 16:54:32 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined property: EE_MCI_Controller::$MailChimp in E:\Webs\M4\M4Reactor.org\wwwroot\wp-content\plugins\eea-mailchimp\includes\EE_MCI_Controller.class.php on line 429

So I disabled EE Mailchimp and guess what – the add new event page works.

NOW are you going to fix your plugin?

Of course, if it needs fixing. If you go to the Event Espresso > MailChimp settings (after you reactivate the MailChimp add-on), then re-save the settings page, are there any errors printed there about the MailChimp API key?

When going to the page, my key was there with a green check mark. I click “save” and it says it’s invalid. Go to mailchimp, copy a valid key, paste and save, still invalid. I have 3 valid mailchimp keys and your app says they are all invalid.

The app itself doesn’t determine whether a key is valid or not. It actually sends an API request to MailChimp and they verify the API key.

Can you try this guide:
