Add Content Box to Venue Admin View

I would like to a new content box to the admin view of a venue in EE.

How can that be achieved?

One way would be to use the Advanced Custom Field plugin which will allow you to add a custom field content box to the espresso_venues post type editor. Other ways involve adding custom PHP code to your site that adds a custom meta box to the espresso_venues post type:
