Is it possible to drop in an add to calendar link or button into Mailchimp campaign?

Hi Doug,

Does something like this help? https://mailchimp.com/integrations/addevent/

Yes. That’s what I’m using for a campaign right now. Their free plan is limited and I thought y’all might have something similar. I’d love to capture who added the event to the calendar.

Hi Doug,

Event Espresso is not an email service provider like MailChimp. With Event Espresso you can use an shortcode to generate a link to download an ical file: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ical-shortcode-messages/. We do not provide analytics for clicks, etc. because our emails are more transactional in nature rather than marketing campaigns.

So, in that same vein, the calendar buttons in MailChimp are just links to add an event to a calendar. You can create custom links to add events to calendar. You could also use a bitly link or something that can give you analytics about people clicking links to download those calendar files.

Does that help?
