I have an email reminder set to send a reminder one day before the event. However, the customer is asking me to include the event’s Zoom link in the reminder email. How can I do that?
( for each event, we have different Zoom meeting link)

Hi there,
Are you saving the zoom link within the event?
If so may I ask how you are saving it?
I’m guessing just in a custom field but checking as it changes how/if you pull that info into the message template.

you can use custom message template and set to your event (message template setting is at the bottom of your event detail)

Thanks for posting up a solution 🙂
However, if the only difference between X number of events using that template is the zoom link then there is a ‘better’ option than creating a custom message template for each one.
If you store the full zoom URL in a custom field you can then use the [EVENT_META_*{custom-field-meta-key}] within the EVENT_LIST section of the message template.
So for example if you had a custom field with key ‘zoom-url’ the shortcode would be:
[EVENT_META_*zoom-url]
That way you use the same single template (it may still be a custom template) across multiple events if they use the same content with just a different link.

Thanks for your reply Tony, I did that and it worked, however, when I am sending a test email to myself it is always sending a Zoom link related to our Feb event, not our closest event which is on Dec 3. How can I test it and make sure it will send a correct link and not create confusion?!

We don’t have a way to send a test email for a specific event, but you can do a preview for a specific event.
Edit the event itself and at the bottom of the page you’ll see a ‘Notifications’ section.
Under the email tab, find the message type you have the shortcode above in.
(Note if your using a custom template, that should already be set on the event for this to work)
Click the ‘Edit’ button next to that template.
If should take you to whatever template is set on the event itself, click the preview button to see a preview of the current template using data from the event you clicked the edit button on.

Unfortunately, the preview you described above is just showing the Maine Content not Event List section. I think I just need to sit tight and hope everything works fine!
