hi guys
Things kick finally off on our end and we go live with first events at the ogerwerk.
We have licensed ee a year ago to test it and see if it fits our purpose. Whilst we LOVE your solution, we haven’t seen much movement in development. Version 5 is still in public Beta, same release.

Are you still working on it? Have you abandoned it? What are your plans? As we are rebuilding and moving our site back to Word Press (had an unfortunate side-path to Odoo… ๐Ÿ™ ), we’d love to hear your plans before we install a plugin that is not actively developed anymore (Please do, because your software is absolutely amazing!!)

Have a great day, thanks for your response

Hi there,

Event Espresso 5 was first released March 6, 2023 as an official release not beta. There have been 27 additional releases and another release this week. You can see the active changelog here: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md

If you can point me to where you see V5 is still public beta, we’ll update it or take it down. Thanks.

Hi Garth

It’s all my missunderstanding! In my download section it says Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v5.0.27.p

EE4-part has completely confused me, I apologize!

So I understand that is still under active development and we can go ahead – That’s the important and great news, thanks!

We left ‘Event Espresso 4’ in the downloads section to prevent people thinking it was a similar migration as EE3 -> EE4 where the database schema and codebase changed dramatically.

EE4 -> EE5 introduced the new advanced editor (along with a bunch of other features/fixes etc) but its not the same kind of jump as the EE3 -> EE4+ migration.

So, yes, Event Espresso is indeed very much in development ๐Ÿ™‚

If you run into any issues just let me know.
