Hi all,
I recently renewed my subscription to EE3 for another year. I performed an update because we have been having paypal issues with signups. Now I have an issue with not being able to login to wp admin. On the off chance that it does load I get a landing page for EE4. ayf.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_about. ANy ideas how to fix. I do not really have a ton of FTP knowledge if that is required for the solution. All I want to do is get EE3 back.
If you can access the /wp-admin/plugins.php page of your site, then you can deactivate EE4 there. If not, you can manually deactivate EE4 by using FTP (or use your host’s cpanel file manager) and rename the /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/ folder.
You should not have renamed a file, instead you rename a folder. In any case, it may be another plugin other than Event Espresso that’s preventing you from logging in. In which case, you can temporarily rename the /plugins/ folder located within wp-content. That will disable all plugins. Then you can visit the wp-plugins page, then change the folder name back to /plugins/. Then you’ll be able to reactivate plugins.
Thanks @ josh. I realized I renamed the wrong folder and managed to get my site up thanks for all the help.
