Hi, I hv set the “registration confirmation letter sent before payment received”. It is so trouble to manually resent the attendee one by one every time. Also, I hv no record to check if the mail sent or not. That means it is easily sent twice manually. Finally, I don’t know why I cannot received the information of about attendee registration information through email. Thx for solving the problems above. |
Hi Lydia Tsui Yan Leung, Email issues are usually down to issue’s with the server configuration. Can you try installing a plugin such as WP Check Email to send a test email and check the server is actually sending emails. |
|
|
I tried, but errors shown as follows: Unpacking the package… The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature |
Do you have space available on the server? That error is often due to having no free space available. |
|

I don’t know, as i buy the service from bluehost as wordpress recommended. |
|
Hi, You will need to check your hosting to see if you have enough disk space, as the error you are encountering suggests you have no space left. If you do not know how to do this, you will need to speak to Bluehost for assistance. |
|
however, my page is newly set, and I did not upload a lot of things. I wonder how it will be no space enough in just a short period of time? |
Unfortunately both the issues you currently see are likely down to server configuration errors. Email’s not being sent is almost always a server issue.
Generally means there is not enough space on the server, however it can be other issues with the server config. You best option would be to contact bluehost and get them check the server first. |

Finally, I can successfully installed the check mail plug-in, but where and how can I use it? Also, I contacted with blue host already, they said I don’t hv the problem mentioned above, but they do give me a link and reply for reference as below: “Note: The email address you use must be a valid created account in the cPanel. https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/206” Would u plz explain wht they refer to?? Actually, I am tired about being transferred the problem to different company again and again. Plz Just make the registration confirmation send automatically, THX! |

I used the check mail function, mail can be sent successfully. |
There are many reasons email’s are sent to the Junk mailbox, I would recommend you try signing up to a service such as Postmark or Mandrill and use our Transactional Email plugin(available through the pre-release channel) to send all your emails through them (which basically bypasses your server for Event Espresso/all emails) which should work. Once you have signed up to one of the above services and installed the Transnational Email Plugin, input the relevant details for the service you are using and that should be it. The services linked above can then manage any email/spam issues. |

How some your company always like this? No trial, no refund… Most of the service providers provide this customers’ rights, but your company provide nth. When problems appear, just say your company doesn’t hv such service or ask me to pay extra money to settle?? Since I signed up the service, this is the 3rd time like this already! also, you are asking me to use the pre-release and i need to take my own risk for that?? |
|
Also, no notification mail to me when my students finished the registration procedure. |
Hi Lydia, I’m sorry your having these issues, but please understand we have no control over your server and/or its emails. Basically we can issue a command for your server to send an email, after that we have no control. We do offer Trials (Test Drive & Full Test Drive of Event Espresso) Our refund policy is outlined here in the FAQ section at the bottom
Postmark is a paid service after 10,000 emails. I would recommend Mandril personally.
The Transactional Plugin is available under Pre-release as it is a free plugin we have provided for people to use, but it is not ‘officially’ support by Event Espresso. What it does it basically hook into WordPress’s wp_mail() function and overrides it. wp_mail is very unlikely to change anytime soon (and therefor unlikely to cause any issues/conflicts) and we have not had any issues reported with the current version of the plugin so far.
Are they going to the Junk/Spam folder? The reason for recommending Mandril (or Postmark) is there are so many factors that come into play when emails are not sent or are sent to junk (blacklisted server/domain, wrongly configured email servers just to name a couple) using those services takes all of the out of the equation, as they handle all configuration (and base their business around it being correct setup) You could also try installing the plugin WP MAIL SMTP and route all your emails through a gmail account for example, this again removes server issues from the equation. |
