Able to add more tickets than the max quantity for each ticket

I am having an issue when I try to return to the events list after already adding tickets to my cart, for example if I decided I want to go back and add another ticket I didn’t before. When I try to add the same tickets again, it throws an error where it says I am adding tickets above the limit for the event (my limit is set to 3 for the whole event, 1 max for each individual ticket for a total of 3). So when I set the limit for the whole event as higher than 3, it then adds more tickets individually to the cart, even though the limit for each ticket is 1.

It seems to not be clearing the tickets already in the cart when I click the “Return to Events List” button, and then ignores the Maximum Quantity setting for each individual ticket and adds another one.

My EE version is 5.0.7.p, Multi Event Registration is 2.0.20.p.

Hi there,

It seems to not be clearing the tickets already in the cart when I click the “Return to Events List” button, and then ignores the Maximum Quantity setting for each individual ticket and adds another one.

The whole reason for having an ‘event cart’ (the Multi Event Registration add-on) is so that it doesn’t clear the cart on each request.

Without the cart, you select your tickets and proceed directly to that registration step for those selected tickets.

With the cart you add the tickets to a ‘cart’ and then, when done selecting, proceed to the registration form. So you wouldn’t empty your cart every time you want to add another item or you wouldn’t need a cart at all.

When you go back to the event list you can select additional tickets to add to the cart and then proceed through to either the cart itself or the registration step.

My EE version is 5.0.7.p, Multi Event Registration is 2.0.20.p.

We fixed the issue with the cart allowing more tickets than the max quantity on the event a while ago now, please update to the latest version of both Event Espresso core (currently 5.0.34.p) and Multi Event Registration (currently 2.0.21.p)
