Would like to sell passes for a workshop, but not charge the credit cards until a minimum number of passes have been purchased. For example, when 20 people have signed up, we process all 20 cards and the class will occur. If less than 20, the class will be canceled. Is this possible?
Yes its possible, but not in the way I believe you are intended for it to work.
Event Espresso does not store card details, so you can’t collect registrations (and the payment details) then when a limit is reach click to process the payments.
For this kind of event you would need to set the default registration status to ‘Not Approved’, people can register onto the event and when they reach a limit you can switch the status of the attendees and request payment.
The user will the receive an email they can use to finalize the registration and make the payment.
Would that work?
