Abandoned Registrations automated email response

Hello. Is there anyway to send an automated email to our abandoned registrations? We have had a couple thousand abandoned registrations over the past year or so. We are guessing that we have 1 out of every 7 registrations abandon us. It would be great to respond with a follow-up email maybe sharing a promo code to entice them to complete the registration and pay.

I am familiar with the ‘message template’ for a pending payment but this does not trigger for us because we require a payment at time of registration and an abandoned registration only reached the payment page but didn’t complete this final step.

If you don’t have this functionality, I bet most of your customers would pay extra for this, I know I would. I can no longer overlook not communicating with that lost revenue potential. By the way, we have been using EE since 2010 with over 100,000 registrations to date. Wonder how many abandoned registrations that would have been over the 12 years. Say hi to Garth, Seth, Lorenzo, Sidney, Chris, and all the others I have talked to over the past decade.

We would like to thank you for your suggestion; we currently don’t have this extra functionality and it’s definitely an important one to have in our add-ons suite. I created a new feature request in our Github repository: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/issues/3842

Joao,

I will help fund this feature up to $2000 towards it if I can get a website mention for it also. Can you pass that on? We help fund the student transfer feature years ago. We use that one everyday as I am sure many of your clients do. This feature is just as important as that one was.
