I have had a ticket sold after an event was sold out. I had to cancel the event because of limited sales so I limited the tickets to 2 to make it sold out. A person was then able to buy a ticket. I am trying to figure out how this happened. When I look at the Event in the Edit view, there are two approved registrations in the upper right hand corner and no pending registrations. In the Event Dates/Times section it is showing that there is a limit of 2 tickets in Available Tickets, and shows 2 sold but registrations are 3. When I open the registrations I can see that three tickets have been sold. On the main events display where it shows all my events, it only shows 2 tickets sold so I did not see that another ticket sold. The person who bought the third ticket came to the venue and of course the event was not on. It was really inconvenient for my customer and its a bit of a worry for me.
I need a few things to be clarified for understanding the issue better.
Can you please let me know:
What was the registration capacity?
When did you change the registration capacity?
Did the registrations come through before or after the registration capacity was changed?
How many datetimes does this event have?
How many types of tickets does this event have?
What are the statuses of each registration?
What method of payment did people use to register?
Did the registrations pay in full?
When were the registration confirmation email sent?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
