Hello I have seen some posts on this but none has been satisfactory. If you visit my site http://prama.org/events/5day-aug2016/ I have set up a test registration page. As you can see it has a bunch of tickets but only the first one (retreat fee) is really a ticket. The rest are add ons. The problem is that if I use as is the user will have to input additional questions for all those tickets. I think that EE recognizes all tickets as additional participants. The price modifier would work if people could select what price modifications but they are fixed and can not be added or removed. I hope there is some sort of plug in to help with this.
However using additional tickets for add-ons is currently the only way within EE to add those additional services that the user can select to add into the registration.
Using that setup you can not request information for additional attendees as you correctly mentioned EE considers each ticket as an individual registration, so basically you would need to set no question groups for additional registrants (http://take.ms/hX13R) and only a single user can register at a time.
We do have a ‘Price Modifier’ add-on on our roadmap for EE4 here:
Event Espresso 3 does not support multiple Authorizenet accounts.
