Hi there, I am looking at your plugin to replace another Events plugin, which cannot achieve what we need: 1) We have 6 core events with multiple dates. So we need to show the event details only once, but user can select the dates for the next event from that page. 2) We want to use stripe payment gateway, but we need to ensure when user registers for an event, admin has to approve the user before he is accepted. Payment cannot be taken before they are accepted Can this be achieved? Many thanks for your help! |
Hi there,
Yes a single event can have multiple ‘datetimes’ within that event. To allow users to register onto individual datetimes you need to create a ticket for each datetime, so if you have multiple prices you will need to create multiple ‘sets’ of tickets and assign each set to a specific datetime. How many occurrences (datetimes) of a single event do you have? How many pricing options for each individual datetime do you need?
With Event Espresso you can set the ‘Default Registration Status’ of an event to ‘Not Approved’. This allows the registrant to select ticket and input their registration details however it then stops the registration and sends a ‘Registration Not Approved’ message. At this point the admin can set the Registration to Pending Payment (and trigger email notifications of doing so) and allow the user to continue to the payment options. The user will receive a Pending Payment email and can use the link within that email to continue with the registration. I would recommend signing up to Test Drive Event Espresso 4. You can view the full plugin there and setup a test event to see if it suits your needs. If you have any further questions just let us know. |

Thanks for this – its very helpful. There will likely be only 1 price. And there will be about 2 or 3 different dates for the same course. The courses are 1 day courses. I’ve set up a test site and created a couple of events. My issue is that I am not a big fan of the default template: I want it to look a lot cleaner and something more like: The main difference is that it needs to display in a row with the following columns: Is this something that is easily achieved? Also, how can I edit the messages e.g. once I register, I get the following: Your registration has been successfully processed. I need to change this to something like ‘Thank you filling our our registration form. A member of our team wii confirm if you have a ticket, and a payment link will be sent to you’. Also need to make sure I have control over all emails and the general look and feel of them? |
You can list the events in a table with columns by creating a new page, then place the Also, you can go to Event Espresso > Messages and edit the message templates there to change the wording and layout of the emails. |
