404 error after adding to cart in Internet Explorer

We have problem with our event booking which appears to be limited to IE.

In other browsers (Edge/ Firefox), when you click to Add to Cart, it brings up a popup with options to return to events or proceed to registration. In IE, it does not bring up the popup and takes you to the 404 page on the site.

The event we are having issues with is https://the-hsraa.org/events/conference-2019-bookings

Looking at the URL for the 404, it is coming up as https://the-hsraa.org/eventsconference-2019-bookings (note the missing “/” after events).

I am wondering whether there is something in the code to cope when popups are not enabled which is not setting the URL correctly? That having been said, it appears to be happening eve if popups are enabled.

The site is running EE4 pro with MER, Calendar and Promotions.

Can you please advise on how I can sort out this problem? I know that people can use other browsers, but the audience here are still mainly wedded to IE!

Hi Mandy,

I checked, and it’s evident that your site has an older version of the Multi Event Registration add-on. Can you update to the current version (Multiple Event Registration v2.0.16.p)? That will help with any issues related to using older browsers like Internet Explorer.

Thank you for pointing that out: updates were in the diary for next week. I have now put the EE ones on and they seem to have sorted out the problem.
