Hi there. Is it possible to have 2 types of events:

1) only logged in users can register

2) only VIP logged in users can register?

All users must log in to register to events, but then there would be a VIP user group which have their own events. Is this possible?

Hi,

There is no way currently to have tiered members with Event Espresso. However, you could for example create a page that only VIP members can see, via your membership plugin.

Create the VIP only events and add them to a special category, e.g. VIP. Then on the page you created add the [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier] shortcode, obviously amending the category id.

You would need to also do a similar thing for the non VIPs, so that those events are attached to a category and have a page.

The only issue would be if a non VIP went to the default event-registration page for any reason, as this would show all events regardless. You could try adding VIP only access to that page, however it may interfere with the plugin when dealing with non vips, I haven’t tested it so cannot be certain.
