Hello, I am getting the above error with the authorize. net add on.
The credentials i’m using are sandbox credentials, which work in other plugins.
I am usuing event espresso v 4.7x
Any help would be greatlly appreciated, i am not sure where to begin.

Hi Susan,

Have you enabled Debug mode within the auth.net payment method?

Go to Event Espresso -> Payment Methods -> Auth.net

Set ‘Debug Mode On?’ to Yes and save the settings.

This error:

(13) The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.

Is returned directly from auth.net so it is them throwing that error, not Event Espresso. It sounds like you are using sandbax credentials on live mode (debug mode is off) which won’t work, so the above should fix that.

Also the latest version of EE is 4.8.19, I would recommend updating to the latest version.
