100% Promotions and Checkout

I am testing the promotions beta add-on. I have set a promotion up with a 100% discount. It still requires payment be entered and this would confuse subscribers to my site. If you click the PayPal standard payment it takes you to PayPal and requires you enter a dollar value as it will not process 0 dollar payments. If you click on credit card it requires you to enter a credit card number.

How do a do a promotion that is meant to be used to give subscribers with the code 100% off?

Hi there,

This is a known issue with the promotions beta. There’s an open ticket to change the checkout process so that when a 100% discount is applied to the cart it will automatically switch out from displaying payment options. This will be done before its official release.
