100% Discount Promotion Still Charges Tax

Hi,

I am trying to register non-paying attendees by using the promotional code method described by EE support here:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/registering-a-non-paying-attendee-with-no-cost-payment/

However, upon checkout EE is still charging the 10% GST tax rate for the full price. How do I remove the tax when promotional code is used so the amount payable is $0.00?

Hi there,

You need to set Promotion codes to effect taxes within Promotion settings.

Go to Event Espresso -> Promotions -> Settings.

You’ll find an option for ‘Promotions Affect Taxes’, make sure that is set to Yes.
