We have been using a promotion code which is set to give a 100% discount. It was working fine. We’ve just had someone try to use it, and we’ve also replicated same issue, where it is now only giving 100% discount off the ticket price but leaving the 10% tax amount left as an amount owing.
How do we fix this?

Hi there,
You need to set Promotions to affect taxes.
Go to Event Espresso -> Promotions -> Settings
Set ‘Promotions Affect Taxes’ to Yes and save.
Then retest your promotion, does it discount the full price?

Hi Tony,
Yes it is working now. Any idea how this would have changed? The promo code has been used by at least 10 other attendees and they were all given the correct discount so unsure why this changed or how?

Were all of those previous registrations on a ticket that was set as taxable?
