- You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership rights to our products. All products are the property of Event Espresso LLC.
- All trademarks, logos, branding materials, and other intellectual property associated with Event Espresso are the exclusive property of Event Espresso LLC. Use of these assets without prior written permission is strictly prohibited. 5. Support
The following outlines the terms of support, license usage, update eligibility, and customer responsibilities for maintaining a compatible WordPress environment when using Event Espresso.
- Support is provided for products developed by Event Espresso, granted via a support license.
- Support includes access to forums, documentation, email, and one-click updates for one year.
- License holders cannot share or resell licenses and are solely responsible for support requests.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring their WordPress environment meets the minimum technical requirements for the Event Espresso plugin, including supported versions of WordPress, PHP, MySQL, and web servers. Event Espresso LLC is not liable for issues arising from installations on unsupported or outdated environments. Detailed technical requirements can be found in the plugin documentation.
- One-click updates are available to members with an active support license.
- A core, personal, business, everything, or All Access support license provides updates for one website.
- A developer support license provides updates for up to five websites.
- Updates are provided for one year from the time of purchase.
- Users are responsible for maintaining up-to-date backups of their website and database before installing or updating the Event Espresso plugin. It is strongly recommended to test all updates in a staging environment to identify potential issues before applying them to a live site. Event Espresso LLC is not liable for any data loss, downtime, or conflicts arising from updates applied directly to live environments without proper testing.
- Note: Installing Event Espresso on a WordPress sub-domain or sub-folder counts as a unique site. Multisite installations are allowed, but support is provided only to the license holder.
- Users are permitted to modify the Event Espresso plugin for personal use in compliance with the GNU General Public License. However, any modifications made to the plugin core void support services and warranties provided by Event Espresso LLC. To ensure compatibility and maintain access to support, users are encouraged to extend or customize the plugin using WordPress hooks, filters, and the provided developer documentation. Core modifications are strongly discouraged as they may lead to unexpected issues and loss of functionality during updates.
- Event Espresso is designed to perform efficiently on a standard WordPress installation using supported server configurations, such as Nginx or Apache, with adequate hosting resources. However, actual performance may vary based on factors such as server setup, hosting environment, third-party plugins, themes, or other dependencies. Event Espresso LLC does not guarantee optimal performance if these external factors do not meet recommended standards. Users are responsible for ensuring that their server configurations and third-party integrations are compatible with Event Espresso. Event Espresso LLC disclaims liability for performance issues, including slow load times or errors, arising from non-standard server configurations or conflicts with external components.
6. Pricing, Renewals, Suspension, Termination
The following outlines the terms for automatic renewals, cancellations, license upgrades or downgrades, and pricing changes for Event Espresso subscriptions.
- You agree to allow us to automatically charge your payment method annually for support license subscription fees.
- To notify us of any cancellation at least 7 days before renewal.
- We can deactivate your account if the subscription or renewal fee is not paid, access to premium features, updates, and support services will be restricted. The core functionality of the Event Espresso plugin will remain available; however, features reliant on an active subscription, such as one-click updates, advanced tools, and technical support, will be disabled until the subscription is renewed.
- Users may upgrade or downgrade their Event Espresso license at any time by contacting our support team or through their account dashboard. When upgrading, a prorated amount based on the remaining time in the current subscription will be applied toward the cost of the new license. For downgrades, changes will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no partial refunds will be issued for unused time on a higher-tier license.
- Event Espresso LLC reserves the right to change product pricing. Existing customers will receive 30 days’ notice before any changes to their subscription.
We agree to provide renewal notifications via email at least 7 days in advance of changes.
7. Refunds
The following outlines the conditions and limitations for refunds, including eligibility, timeframes, and responsibilities related to software compatibility and updates.
- Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase for new customers and new installations.
- If you are considering a refund, please contact our support team first for assistance.
- Refunds after 30 days are not available, unless required by law.
- Refunds will not be issued, even within the 30-day refund period, if the customer encounters difficulties updating from a version earlier than the previous major version (e.g., upgrading from version 3 to version 5). It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their environment is compatible with current software requirements and to follow the provided upgrade guidance. Additional fees may apply if assistance is required to help the customer update to the latest version.

- Event Espresso is guaranteed to function on a clean installation of WordPress on supported servers (e.g., Nginx, Apache).
- Compatibility with all third-party plugins or browsers is not guaranteed. While Event Espresso is designed to function with standard WordPress installations, we do not guarantee compatibility with third-party plugins, themes, or tools. Event Espresso LLC is not liable for any conflicts, malfunctions, or data loss caused by external components or modifications made to the software by users or third parties. Use of third-party plugins or tools with Event Espresso is at your own risk.

- You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Event Espresso LLC, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Event Espresso plugin, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Any breaches, misuse, or loss of this data are the responsibility of the user.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Event Espresso LLC, its affiliates, suppliers, or resellers be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use the software. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any other commercial damages or losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the legal or equitable theory (contract, tort, or otherwise) upon which the claim is based. In any case, Event Espresso LLC’s entire liability under any provision of these terms shall not exceed, in the aggregate, the sum of the fees you paid for the license and any support services provided by Event Espresso LLC under a separate support agreement. This excludes cases of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Event Espresso LLC to the extent that applicable law prohibits the limitation of damages in such cases. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion and limitation may not apply to you. Event Espresso LLC is not responsible for any liability arising out of content provided by you or any third party (including third-party materials) that is accessed through the software and/or any material linked through such content.
