I’m not sure I understand the question, but the ticket add-on adds the ‘Tickets’ within Event Espresso, if you don’t have that add-on then EE is a registration platform, it does not create ‘Tickets’ on its own.
So if you are asking if that shortcode will only work if the ticketing add-on is activated, then yes, if not can you rephrase the question please.
May I ask which site? The batch email does not include a shortcode that will direct the user to the Invoice by default, so they may have a custom shortcode.
Yes and Yes.
Each ticket send sends a request to your site to check the status of the registration, checkin status etc all of the scanning is real time.
Not all browsers are the same, some support barcodes and other do not, so Josh is recommending you use both a Barcode and QR code just to be sure you have something to scan. The ticket template already includes both by default so unless you remove one you should be fine.
Theres no ‘checkbox’ to edit the tickets, when you activate the ticketing add-on it adds a ‘Ticket’ message template in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates. That template is used to generate your tickets and by default looks like this – http://take.ms/mrfx4
You can edit that template to add/edit sections as you wish.
