Attendee Mover

Easily change an attendee’s registration to a different event date or ticket without having to re-enter all their details.

Event organizers prefer Event Espresso for accepting event registrations for courses, classes, workshops, nonprofit events, and more.

With the Attendee Mover extension, you can move an attendee to another event or change their ticket selection in a few clicks from your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin).

Here are a few ways that our event organizers use the Attendee Mover:

– Move students from one class or workshop session to another
– Transfer participants to another course after the initial booking like a similar course on a different date
– Move attendees between events to change their registrations if their schedules change
– Switch classes for a registrant if a class is canceled or rescheduled

And the Attendee Mover extension will handle admin tasks for you like automatically canceling an attendee’s existing registration which will restore a free spot back to the original event.

At a high level you have a couple of questions:

1) Will this solution work for my events?
2) How long will it take to get up and running?

You don’t need to be a computer expert at all.

As a professional with limited time, you want a solution that you know will work for your events without you needing to invest a ton of time. And remember that the Attendee Mover will save you a lot of time since you’ll be able to transfer an attendee in just a few clicks. That is much faster than working through tasks like canceling a registration and then manually adding a new registration.

Plus, we have a getting started guide to help you move forward fast, and our team has your back so we’ll be there to help you carry on by sharing feedback on your questions.

I use Event Espresso a couple of times a year for registering attendees for conferences for a charitable organization. Using Event Espresso has made my life much easier since once I set up the initial form it’s a simple matter to make any adjustments necessary. As a novice at implementing registration forms into WordPress I’m glad that Event Espresso has simplified the process. It was fairly easy to learn and when I ran into a snag, support was quick and very helpful, resolving my issues immediately. – Ronald Bujork

Frequently asked questions about the Attendee Mover add-on

Is a WordPress website required?
Event Espresso and the Attendee Mover extension are both plugins for WordPress so you’ll need a website running WordPress to use them. If you don’t currently have a website, then check out Event Smart where you can use event registration software and transfer attendees.

What happens when an attendee is transferred with the Attendee Mover?
The Attendee Mover add-on takes care of a series of tasks for you automatically when it is used. When you move an attendee, then 1) their existing registration is canceled which frees up a spot for another guest on the original event 2) they are added as a confirmed attendee to the new event and 3) they’ll receive an email notification letting them know about the change to their event registration.

I know that I can switch an attendee between events. What about changing their registration selection or ticket for the same event?
You can use the Attendee Mover to change an attendees registration selection to something else. For example, if they chose “pricing option ABC” but they need “pricing option 123,” then you can make that change using the Attendee Mover.

Can I use wait lists with my events to fill spots that open up from cancellations or transferring an attendee?
The Wait List Manager for Event Espresso can help you keep your events full by allowing your attendees to sign up for a wait list for your events.
