Last night for an unknown reason all of our event times started an hour earlier. This is big problem because customers won’t know when to come. All the times were correct yesterday, and we did not do anything! WordPress Version: |
Hi there, If all the event times changed, this would usually be from a change to the WordPress timezone settings. Can you check your WordPress timezone settings (in WP > Settings General)? Are they set to use a city in the same timezone as yours? |
Yes they were set correctly. It was -5 since we are in Eastern, as a quick fix I just temporarily set the time to -4 so that anyone looking at my site would see the correct time. |
Hi, was it a UTC setting or was a region / city near you? — |
It was a UTC setting. I had it set to UTC-5 for about a month with no problems. I tried setting it to Indianapolis and it did not fix the problem. A couple of past events the start time moved from 6:30 to 1:30, very strange. |
Hi, thanks for the update on the issue. We recommend using a city or region based timezone setting with Event Espresso. Do you have any other date-related plugins on your site such as a booking or appointment system? — |
No, I do not have any other date plugins. I will set it to Indianapolis tonight and see if it updates overnight. |
Great! Let us know how that works. |

It worked, everything is back to the correct time! Thanks |
