Tax issues and updating

I have a couple of problems, and this one may be because we need an update. But I have a problem with updating in that the whole site breaks each time I try – so I don’t know if you guys offer any support for updating at all? The rest of wordpress is up to date, its just EE4 that falls apart.

My problem is tax related, and the tax was all working fine – our tickets are inserted directly in to the tables as all the data is pulled from another system. We are setting TKT_taxable to = 1 in the esp_ticket table – this was working, but has recently stopped working and therefore no tax is being charged and my customer is not happy.

Please help!!

Can you check to see if the price types that were set up for the taxes in Event Espresso > Pricing get trashed or deleted?

Oh and since you mentioned that the tickets are being inserted directly into the database, you really should verify that the relationships between tickets and prices are correct. You should be able to compare the price and ticket rows in the database that you’re inserting directly, to price and ticket rows in the database that are inserted by Event Espresso when a ticket is created using the UI.

Hi Josh, I’ll double check them. Are you guys able to assist with updating? My entire site falls apart whenever I try and migrate my event data.

Generally speaking, we can help for up to 30 minutes per priority support token. That said, if the migration is failing due to customizations, a developer may need to get involved, and since the developer team is busy working on Event Espresso core and its add-ons, it may work out better for you to team up with one of the recommended pros as they generally have more availability:
