Hi, We have been seeing some intermittent PayPal issues where EE4 doesn’t seem to be getting the correct info from PayPal in the backend. E.g Payment going through fine on PayPal and EE4 showing it as failed or not showing any PayPal transaction ID. Any thoughts on why this continues to happen? In addition does the Auto Return for PayPal standard only work if you click the link return to xxx site which then takes you to a PayPal thankyou page and then returns you to the website? Or can it once the payment has completed return you to the website? Thanks |
Hi Jonathan, Earlier this week, we found an issue where events with apostrophes in the title or the ticket name would cause the IPN for PayPal to fail. We have a fix in Event Espresso 4.4.4 that is being tested internally in preparation for release. Do any of your events have apostrophes in the ticket name or event name? — |

Hi Lorenzo, Funnily enough after checking yes these are a couple of the titles of the courses that failed – Children’s Any idea when the release will be made available or should we strip them out of the course titles? Thanks |

Hi Lorenzo, We have applied the update yet today with a course with an ‘ in its title the client got a technical error screen even though paypal processed the payment and did indeed report back to EE4 that it was successful. Is the ‘ still an ongoing issue as its the only time payments are failing on the system and the client is becoming annoyed! Thanks |
This sounds like something else is happening. The payment is being updated in Event Espresso but an error is appearing? At what point during registration checkout is the error showing? — |
