Moving Order Data from EE to Other Systems

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out what our process is going to be for getting order information out of Event Espresso into our other systems (CRM – Infusionsoft/Accounting – Xero). I think I have found a way to get orders from the Accounting system into Infusionsoft through a cloud to cloud integration, but there’s still a couple of scenarios I need to account for when it comes to EE4.

1. A manual order is entered by us in EE: When we register someone for an event (in our case, a course) in EE4 manually, do we have to charge the customer in EE in order to register them, or do we have the option of just registering them and having that ticket ‘sold’ without running any charge information through the EE cart?

2. When a customer registers online and transacts through EE, is it possible for us to export orders in a specific date range (i.e., for one day) to a .csv format for entry into our accounting system (Xero)?

3. How far along is your organization with looking into integrating with cloud-to-cloud integration systems, or opening up the API for third parties to create these customizations?

Thanks,
Brent

Hi Brent,

1. A manual order is entered by us in EE: When we register someone for an event (in our case, a course) in EE4 manually, do we have to charge the customer in EE in order to register them, or do we have the option of just registering them and having that ticket ‘sold’ without running any charge information through the EE cart?

Registrations that are created through the add new registration screen would need to have payments processed separately. This screen will not process any funds for you.

2. When a customer registers online and transacts through EE, is it possible for us to export orders in a specific date range (i.e., for one day) to a .csv format for entry into our accounting system (Xero)?

Our transactions screen allows you to export transactions based on a date range:

Automatic export would require some custom coding.

3. How far along is your organization with looking into integrating with cloud-to-cloud integration systems, or opening up the API for third parties to create these customizations?

We have discussed an integration with Zapier to allow migration of data to other web services — however, this is not currently scheduled as we are working on other addons for Event Espresso 4 such as a promotions system and the Infusionsoft integration.

Lorenzo, great to hear you guys are working on the Infusionsoft Integration! We look forward to seeing that as we are IS users. Are you just working on re-building the EE3 Infusionsoft integration, or are you by chance adding new functionality for the EE4 version of that add-on.

Hi,

EE3 and EE4 do not share a similar codebase so the integration is being rewritten.
